Martín Solá:
2022 was a breakout year for Martín; he portrayed Father Russo in the NETFLIX hit-series ARCHIVE 81. He also made appearances as IAB Captain Jerome Garibaldi on FBI (CBS), and Angél Garcés on LAW AND ORDER SVU (NBC). And, in the fall he was cast in the new Suzan-Lori Parks’ work, PLAYS FOR THE PLAGUE YEAR at The Public Theater in NYC. Martín has appeared on Broadway in “On Your Feet!”, featuring the music and real-life story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan, as well as “The King and I”, “Coram Boy” and Baz Luhrmann’s “La Bohème”.
Martín has been a Featured Artist with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, and he has performed in more than a dozen productions with The New York City Opera. He was in “Fanny” and “Pipe Dream”, at City Center Encores; and he has also made numerous television appearances singing for Andrea Bocelli. Martín was a member of the distinguished Shakespeare Lab at The Public Theater. Other highlights include Emilio in the off-Broadway World Premiere of “All Eyes and Ears” with INTAR, Luís Trescante in “Olives and Blood” at Connecticut Repertory Theater, “Giant” at The Public Theater, “The Most Happy Fella” at The Goodspeed Opera House, and more than a dozen productions with New York City Opera.

Training:
Martín holds a Master’s Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Illinois, where he studied voice with faculty emeritus William Miller; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice Performance from Florida State University where studied with Roy Delp. Upon moving to NY in the mid 90’s he continued his training with some of the best singing teachers in the City, spending a number of years studying with Dr. Robert White (Julliard), Arthur Levy and Mark Oswald (Manhattan School of Music), and Fred Carama (Stony Brook Univ.). He continued to develop his craft, studying with Myra Vassian (Julliard), Eric van Hoven (Lafayette College), James Pierce (NYCO), Dr. Eric Tucker (CMU). Martín also studied Alexander Technique and singing with Katherine Keyes (NYCO).
Martín has trained extensively as an actor in New York City. His acting mentors are Obie Award Winner James Saito, and renowned acting teacher Charles Tuthill (The Actors Center, SUNY Purchase College, The Stella Adler Conservatory, The Atlantic Acting School, New York University). He has also studied with Carol Rosenfeld and Edith Meeks (HB Studios), Fred Kareman (Carnegie Hall Studios), and at The Barrow Group. In 2012, Martín was selected as company member of the prestigious Public Theater Shakespeare Lab. Martín currently studies with Rob McCaskill (McCaskill Studios).
