Training:
I have a Master’s Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Illinois, where I had the privilege of studying with the amazing William Miller. I also earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Voice Performance from Florida State University, where I learned from Roy Delp. When I moved to New York in the mid-90s, I continued my training with some fantastic teachers in the city, including Dr. Robert White (Juilliard), Arthur Levy and Mark Oswald (Manhattan School of Music), and Fred Carama (Stony Brook University). I also had the chance to study with Myra Vassian (Juilliard), which really helped me grow as a singer. On top of that, I spent several years studying Alexander Technique and voice with Katherine Keyes (NYCO). Each of these incredible mentors has shaped my approach to voice and teaching, and I’m excited to share the tools and techniques I’ve gathered along the way with you!
My acting training includes mentorship from James Saito (Obie Award winner and Member of the Academy) and Charles Tuthill, an esteemed teacher from the Atlantic Theater. I've also studied at SUNY Purchase and The Actors Center, and trained with Carol Rosenfeld at HB Studios, Freddy Kareman at Carnegie Studios, and The Barrow Group. I’ve had the opportunity to work with renowned teacher Dakin Mathews in Shakespeare workshops, which continues to be a great resource In 2012, I was fortunate to be a part of the prestigious Public Theater Shakespeare Lab, led by Barry Edelstein and Ron Van Lieu. Currently, I continue my training with Rob McCaskill at McCaskill Studios in NYC.
